Within twenty-four hours of my returning to post, a list of my top ten posts appeared--all of which were actually on draft.

Once I posted my second new post, the popular posts changed to reflect only those posts made public.

Once the first of the two new postings was seven days old, the original list of my most popular posts appeared.

While popular, some of that writing reflected some very painful times in my life. I wanted to return on a more positive note.

Am I the only one to have experienced this trouble with draft mode?

    hello, jade. :>

i haven't had that particular problem, no, but i understand your reticence to have some of those things on your popular list. having said that: i sincerely doubt most people actually read those when they encounter someone new.

    Silver: Good morning! :)

Well, at least some of my other negative posts remain hidden. And who knows? Maybe the list will morph into something else within twenty-four hours.

    Kinda like playing the lotto.

I have one post in draft mode that used to show up on my popular posts list - but it wasn't extremely personal. It was an angry rant about something that happened to a friend here that made him stop blogging for a while.

I'm with ed; I never look at the "X's most popular posts" thing, other than my own out of sheer curiosity, and I doubt the vast majority of SC is much different.

I don't usually look at "X's most popular list" either. I occasionally look at mine just to see what's on it. I find it interesting to see which of my posts became popular enough to be on that list.

And Jade, who knows what will be on your list next.

This happens to me periodically too. I have a lot of posts in draft mode, and every once in awhile, they'll pop up on the side for a day or two, then they go away. I have no idea why and I even wrote Soulcast_help and they never answered me. I hope no one reads those posts because they're drafted for a reason. I thought about deleting them, but I just assumed no one really looks at that stuff anyway. Fingers crossed!

Infernal: I am glad it was something inconsequential. It would not do to have the optimist spouting any sort of negativity. ;)

Zayda: As you know, I haven't been here for a while. Sometimes, I look at those posts of others to catch up--see what I missed. Usually, I do this with those that are new to me.

And the list? I would like that to change--but it is comment dependent, really.

ET: And toes! Don't forget those!

Also, congrats my friend. I wish you every happiness.

Anonymous: It would not be worth it to me. Especially since you cannot take the time to tailor you own sales pitch.
