Emanon reads (4):
Since yesterday, I've been watching again the old "Mork & Mindy"
series. Though a series, and a S/F comedy at that(!), "reminded" me
of a -bit forgotten- feeling, that life, with its' ups and downs, is a wonderfull
adventure, to experience and cherrish. Funny thing, is that I see life indeed
as an adventure, hopefully a nice one. Regardless realitys' nature, and our
part in it (who knows anyway...), our "living" should be -socialy- by far more "humane".
The reasons it's not is a whole story... where to begin? So better not, now...
Having watched "Mork and Mindy", I felt joyfull, relaxed, Nice... All within
the social enviroment! Meanning, that this little tv show, reminded me of a time
when... well... things were a lot more straightforward, before the 90's. Imagine
"remembering" things from the 80's, even 70's, and -living in Greece translates to-
even the 60's, till 40's at certain areas at times... When doors remained unlocked,
people were more genuine (ofcourse we didn't live in a Utopia that is, haha), were
there were no backstabs in pretty much every aspect of life, when friends were friends,
making love and sex was just it (no "hey desirable piece of meat, I want to taste you, lets
go hump like apes, don't care the least who you are"), when you worked in order to live, not
live in order to work, when you saw a blue sky, and drank real water and ate real food
(strangely now called "biological" as if it is an odd delicacy...), when you stepped on soil,
and observed -and Felt- seasons change, the list goes on and on... It was far from perfect,
but -unfortunately- was way better than today, in most areas. Remember how songs used to
sing about love? When music sounded like.. well... music? Ofcourse this is purely subjective,
and we must respect other people's taste, but since it my blog, well, they're my taste...
For example, there was a song by "Ultravox", called "Dancing with tears in my eyes", back in
the 80's. In the 90's there was a song called "Dance with the devil"... Though of different style,
just wanted to make a point, since they were both hits in their eras.
Nowdays kids have less and less time -and space- to play(=have fun + Learn, socialize, Grow...),
grownups have less and less time to live(=aquire the nessesary, have fun, socialize,learn...),
elders are usually cast aside as if useless, unimportant, like they were never kids and adults themselves...
This phenomenon is mostly displayed in western-type societies, eastern ones have their own...
(like degradation of women). And what really pisses me off (oups!) is when men and women are referred to
as "male" and "female", in a way that leaves the impression that one reffers to ... mamals! Well, maybe mamals
(ex. dolphins) are wiser than us, but you know what I mean... Just wanted to state it...
I have a kazillion thoughts of the like, but since yesterday, the balance started to lean more and
more to an equilibrium, had allowed too much poison in my heart. I saw beauty and understood
it was there, but could not fully Feel it... talked about it, but didn't experience it as much as I'd
like to, as I used to. Well, not any more! Slowly, I will get back to my own track, "babysteps"...
People used to say I was a bit on the "tralala side", happy and friendly all the time (not morronic!).
I was, and deep down still am. It's just that I learned soooo much about this world,
especially its' malice (and I bet there's a lot more to learn), it poisonned me... Slowly, didn't
even see it comin'... Now I'm wiser (almost as a mamal, ha!) , and -as always- whith hunger to learn,
experience, enjoy, and then give!
La vita e bella! Ciao
