Okay, we can do this.  We're nowhere close to finding a cure for cancer, but I have a solution.  I wrote a thrilling fantasy novel, and I am going to donate a large portion of the proceeds to the American Cancer Society. Buy my book. I want to sell 5,000 copies in the first week of its release.  It's called "Cecil Chalmers and the Kingdom's Curse," and it could make a huge difference in the lives of so many people suffering with this horrible disease. So buy it if you dare.  We can do this!  If I sell 5,000 copies within the first week of publication, we are one step closer to finding a cure.  Look at it this way:  We're all in this together.  Anyone, literally anyone can get cancer, and if we stick together and I sell 5,000 copies in the first week, I will donate a large portion of the money to find a cure.  Also, I will personally thank each and every buyer by sending you a free gift.

I know that we as Soulcasters, have big hearts, and want to make a difference in the world.  This is your chance!

    Hi Ed,

IBeing a first time novelist, no agent would consider me as a client, so I am self- publishing through Authorhouse, a great company, by the way.  I never got to the point where the manuscript would be submitted to a conventional publisher, as those companies are hard to crack.
