In honor of creativewoman's psychic test, i tried this test from the same website.
Can you explain how this works?

okay i sussed it!! after try number 10!!! (yeah I am that sad!!) I keep getting either the yellow square or the red diamond.... so i bet (and cant be arsed doing anymore maths :-) that whatever number you choose, when you add it together and take away that from the original number, the only possible answers are those with a yellow square or diamond next to them???? -

I think it is a math thing. I think certain numbers you pick HAVE to be certain shapes. But don't ask me how it works because I suck at math. But I know it's a numbers thing somehow :-P

Its definitely math, if you take odd and even numbers take a look at the symbols they present, then use an equasion to work out the difference between adding them together taking that number off and walla! I bet you will get it every time.... -

Whatever 0 is is what you'll have to get in answer.
There are only certain answers possible (I can go nerdy and do it later, not now, if you want), and each of those answers has the same symbol as 0 (0 is the only possible answer if you pick between 0 and 10, for example). Try it and see.

if you come up with an answer that's wrong, then it's either that there was a glitch in the server at that time, or you've done your math wrong. nobody's got it yet. if nobody gets it by tomorrow, i'll reveal the answer as to how this works then. -

you're right about the 0, but that number doesn't have anything to do with why this thing works. and you're right about the certain numbers, but there's a really interesting answer as to which those numbers are and why. that's the answer i'm looking for. -

They must have changed the test. The test I saw there was where you pick a number from 1 to 100, then add together the digits in your number and subtract that amount out from your original number, and then your answer is always next to a pencil. That's because someone did it all, and made sure that all the possible answers were next to a pencil. Then you could also click on psychic tests, but I just guessed wrong a few times and gave up. -

one clue is that when you go to the site, it doesn't matter which number you pick, it will always be the shape that is beside the 0, as infernal said. you don't even have to pick a number and it will still be that shape. you can click the button a hundred times and it will still be that shape. but if you close the site and then navigate to the site again, the shapes will be re-aranged.but the reason it works is a property of the mathematical progression of 2 digit numbers that was figured out about a thousand years ago. when you add the digits of any two digit number, and then subtract the sum from the original number, the answer will always be a multiple of 9. so they just put a particular shape at 9, 18, 27, et. al, and voila! the changing shapes and shapes at other numbers are just to throw you off.ain't numbers cool? :-) -
