So I was talking with a friend today, and somehow or another I ended up saying that "I <3 sappy stuff." What immidiately came to mind was the night this girl, now my ex, moved to North Carolina two and a half years ago. She had convinced her mom to let her stop by and say goodbye. In preperation I bought her a really tiny teddy bear. Right as I went to hug her and give it to her, my entire family walked in to watch the good bye. Seeing as this was before she had helped me mend my self confidence, I was terribly embarrassed. It was so bad that I would have not given her the bear had she not said she loved it and me.

The memory made me tear up a little and get a really huge smile. I'm really glad I still remember all these great memories. For those who don't know, my girlfriend and I started going out two and a half years ago. After a few months,  she had to move to NC. She moved back this summer, and we broke up about a month ago.

ranting, the best part about having relationships even when they end is they have provided us with a massive store of wonderful heartwarming, embarrassing, funny and tender moments to remember for the rest of our lives, focusing not on what you have lost but what you have gained through the process of knowing her will hopefully help to ease the hurt of missing her... if you know what I mean.

You sound like a very tender soul btw, its refreshing.

Sorry bout the break-up. You seem to be moving on.

It's nice to recall fond memories.. they never fail to make us smile. I am sure she recalls that day too.  :D

anoon - how very uncreative of you to do that on someones post.  Dare I say you are a rude and unthoughtful person.

Thanks for checking in silverwhisper, thanks for continuing to make me feel better lucy, thanks for popping in lioness (its very nice to meet you), and thank you anon for being so creative. Updates- I might get to start working on a small town newspaper. I dont live there, but its in the state and I live and I've been talking to the editor/owner. She seems interested. Great opportunity for me =). Also, if anyone cares to, check out my post "Resuscitation" (I have no idea if I spelt that right...its way too late right now). Its an AP english narrative I had to write, my only guideline being it had to be about relationships. I'd love some feedback from silver and lucy, seeing as you guys rock at writing. As for the rest of you, your feedback is desired as well and im sorry if the previous sentence sounded like an attempt to devalue your opinions. I'm done talking right now

BTW I don't think my writings that good if it was I'd be doing it pro or at least get paid for it... but thanks for the compliment.

yes Lucy, I was one of the few lucky ones who came and left unnoticed, no footprints whatsoever. LOL Hmm.. You are just a humble soul... But no doubt, there are really talented and gifted writers here in SC.
