The United States under President Bush is not in any way shape or form the aggressor in the problems with the Islamic republic of Iran. Our leadership in the United States has been put in a bad spot on this issue. The elected leader of Iran has pledged the destruction of Israel. The Iranian Republican Guard under orders from there government have supplied the insurgent\terrorist forces in Iraq with weapons training and sanctuary. In there quest for nuclear weapons the Iranians have pretty much turned the countries of the west against them.

The duly elected leader has on numerous occasions called for the destruction of Israel and its allies. With the state of tension between Muslim countries and western countries at the highest point in thirty five years. Statements like that leave the USA little room for maneuver on the diplomatic side.

The Republican Guard has consistently tried to undermine the progress of the return to democracy in Iraq. If you keep the fanatics supplied with false propaganda , weapons, and the know how on using said weapons. It results in the USA looking like an aggressor in a conflict, that we as a country would to end on a positive note. In most situations this in it self would be paramount to acts of war.

Why would Iran need the capability to make weapons grade uranium other than to make nuclear weapons? What would a country that is a major sponsor of world terrorism do if it acquired the knowhow to make nuclear weapons? It is not much of a leap to say that if Iran acquires nuclear weapons shortly terrorist groups would also have access to them.

In conclusion, the ease of swaying public opinion always lies with the person\people who control the media. In the USA we have a free almost unregulated print press. In Iran,with no free press the only information sent to the world is there twisted propaganda. With no way to either prove or disprove there reasons.
