good game, dallas...infernal, your 'boys acquitted themselves pretty well, i thought.

i was pleased w/ the way the giants d responded in the second half--crayton and TO held w/ no catches was pretty impressive, esp w/ the way the secondary's banged up.

now granted, i don't know that the giants can possibly win in lambeau--the likelihood of bad eli showing up is pretty high. but hey, at least they'll have the chance to find out!

go, giants!

Huh what? Dallas did more than a few things right that game? I must've been putting little one to bed and missed them. :-p I thought it was almost facepalm-worthy several times, esp. there at the end, but eh - the Giants earned the win. :) Yay for a happy ed & co. :)

I'll definitely be pulling for the Giants now.

mamie: thank you! i was shocked that they got a pick to ice the game!

eilan: very exciting nad well-fought for the most part too. :>

infernal: o, the entire second quarter leaps to mind...seriously, a 20 play drive that goes the length of the field? i mean, that drive was a , the giants couldn't stop anything dallas did in that series! it was a very well called and executed, i thought.

    elle: thank you! :D

jade: nope. i steadfastly refuse to believe that you don't follow football at least in some measure... :D

tbs: o, that's really depressing! :< were you working?

    twyla: amen to that!

I think the Giants have what it takes to bring down the Pack. But Mister Favre isn't going down without a fight. The Giants have worked pretty much under the radar all season, and I doubt many people expected the Packers to go so far with such a great regular season record.

What it all boils down to is this: Both teams have a lot to play for. The Giants want to make their presence known in the NFC, and they're well on their way to doing it. The Packers want to help Brett Favre get one last ring before he hangs it all up. This is gonna be one hell of a game.

amen to that, harried. no doubt it's gonna be a great game, no matter the outcome.

if my giants have to lose to any team in the playoffs, green bay is the team i would pick.

It'll be a good game. As for which team wins, I don't really have a preference, but I really like Brett Favre. He's a class act, and it's obvious that he absolutely loves what he's doing.

ed, yep. I'm currently addicted to football, and I was on a roll, saw the wildcard games the week before, I was so looking forward to this one, AND the giants won. What kind of bull!!!!! How could I have missed that?!?!?! urg!
  • silverwhisper said on Jan 14, 2008....
eilan: it's hard not to like brett favre. he's an ambassador for the sport, in everything that he does.

    tbs: aw man, that blows!

Well, I did pick the Packers to take the NFC. But perhaps the Giants can prove me wrong.
