  I don't know that there's any one thing that made me happy.  I started my new job this week.  I have to admit that I was dreading traipsing all over town to teach a class here and a class there, but it turns out that I really like being out and about and discovering new parts of Prague.  My classes have been going well, the students are nice, and I'm going to see all of them at least once a week instead of once every three to six weeks like at  my old job.  And the weather's been great, so it's been great to be out and about.  And I just had a wonderful 6-day visit from a very dear friend (she went back to Spain on Tuesday).  So, I guess it's just life.  :)  :)

  beyond:  Thanks!  I can remember exactly one time in my life when I genuinely felt happy for someone else (really felt their happiness).  It was my ex-boyfriend and his wife who called to tell me that they had just bought a new house (which was a big deal for them, because they are from mainland China, and I don't think home ownership exists back there).  I felt just as happy and excited about it as if I were the one buying the home.  That was a first for me, and I know how rare that is, so I feel honored that my happiness made you happy, too.
  
  I don't know what it is about me, but I'm usually depressed.  But today, while I was walking around in the sunshine, it suddenly felt like someone had turned a light on my mood.  I feel great!
