The sky looks just spectacular in that last pic, skald.  The warrior's statue does look very fierce, like he is surveying his kingdom.  You live in a beautiful country, skald.  :)

Thank you for posting those.  The town looks so clean and well kept.  I don't see a lot of people in your pictures of Iceland.  Is it not common to walk places or am I just not seeing them?

Hi Skald ~ I haven't sent my laptop in yet...goes tomorrow, so thought I would take a look around here before it goes into the box tomorrow.  Your city always looks so clean.  That sculptors museum photo is awesome!!  thanks for sharing once again.  It is funny to see no snow there too.  Ours is all melted.

I love the picture with the snow covered mountains in the background!

Loved your photos Skald!  I love the red house - it is so quaint!  Is the bottom half with the windows just sticking out also theirs?  I wonder if those windows can easily be broken being so close to the pavement?

I also like the one with the view down the street to the sea :-))

The church has some amazing architecture, skald. Reykjavík is a very colorful city, so vivid. I love pictures taken of cities and cityscapes, and I thank you for sharing this with us.

More nice photos!  On the last one, are those brass scuptures of birds and such along a bridge?  And a domed building in the background?  One thing I notice about all your photos is how clean your city is.

Very interesting pieces of architectural art... I remember my humanities class where we discussed about architectural designs, spires and all. The big church is unique, I believe the tip of the spire is the one behind the yellow building? I particularly like the view from the window..

Thanks for showing these awesome pics skald!!

Oh, how you torment me. Iceland is still one of my top two destinations and I won't be able to go for some years. How I would love to live there for at least a year. Even the everyday scenes you share here make me want to be there.

MisMimi.  Yes, i thought that he was looking over the city. Thanks Mimi
Uniquely.  We have a lot of space and I am not walking in the center. There you would see a lot of people walking. Yes we walk a lot.
Destiny  We are not so far from you.
Quiet.  My friend I was so glad to see  you but your laptop is probaly away now. The sculptor's museum has a garden where I sometimes go and I have posted pictures from there. You might remember it. Once upon a time the house that he built there for him self stood alone upon that hill. Now it is almost down town.
I'll be looking forwards to seeing you again.
Pickers.  Yes, snow covered mountains always make the scenery more beautiful. Thanks for looking in.
Polar.  Yes the whole house is theirs and it is not big. We live in a save country and I hope people can be secure with their windows in the future just as they are now.
Harriet.  And thank you too for looking in at me and taking time to view my pictures. I sure appreciate your words.
Wombat.  The last picture is taken out of the window of mum's room in the nursing home. It is her view and I am glad she has a lot of view. Thanks for looking in at me.
Lioness.  We have architects who have studied all over the world. In Berlin, Madrid, Mexico and you name it and our architecture is very diverse.
You are so right it is the spire of the church that you see there. You are very sharp.
    Thanks for looking in.
Twy.  Good to see you. I remember when I was little there were mostly red and green rooftops.
Queen. And thanks for looking at them my queeny
Sweet.  How good it is to see you here yes and it would be still better seeing you in Iceland. I hope you are well now my dear.
Hotaka.  There are also so many places I like to see. You have all the time in the world you are young. Thanks so much for looking at my pictures. Maybe some day you will be here. Who knows.
Rube.  .  And thank you Rube for  the coming  here. Your world is also an other world to me. What a big and different  country you live in.
