Beautiful brown slanted to perfection
I look beyond and see the pain and love it has endured
It tells the story of hurt brought on by trust
of past lives lost inside but has shaped the exterior
I see the hope of better days in grays and blue
envy in green and fear in all
Questions and confrontation and hate that chills the heart
Dark as night but trusting and strong
hunger of many seen through one
sickness and faith when I sit there and stare
black, white, yellow all have a pair
it has seen the beauty of a rose the magnificent skies
The sun’s brightening light as well as the moon light sky
I have seen it glisten with pleasure overcome with passion
Focused on an art that has become it’s obsession
The windows to the soul from the young to the old
you’ve seen it all the best stories are told
through your eyes
