I don't consider myself a controlling person, but I do have those tendencies.  I like to plan, to be prepared, to anticipate what's going to happen next.  Still, I've tried hard to accept that things aren't going to go perfectly, and I think I've succeeded in adjusting and taking things in stride.  I also enjoy the rare unplanned days, when I do whatever comes up without having planned beforehand.

Lately though it seems like everything is spinning out of control; mainly watching family (and future family) members engage in behavior that seems adverse to productive life.  On one level it's scary because I've known all of these people for either my whole life or a long time, and seeing them behave less than ideally is frustrating.  But it's also scary when it comes to my immediate family because I worry that the same thing could happen to me.

It seems like no matter how much you plan and prepare things always get completely fucked up anyway.  I'm losing faith in the only way of life I've known.

Complications are just a state of mind. {{Still trying to convince myself}}...
I don't know if I "believe" in New Year's resolutions in general. But given that all this drama has been occurring the concepts presents an opportunity to reevaluate and assess the way I react to situations. I have always been very sarcastic...
