Just a quick post to let you all know that a redwood didn't fall on me, my car or my hotel during that nasty storm. Grandma's place was okay too, though they had no electricity all weekend.
This picture was taken about a mile from Grandma's house. It was raining lightly, but I wanted to get at least one picture while I was up there. This grand lady (the tree) was not the largest of the grove, but she was conveniently located 10 or 15 feet from the road.
It was a pretty wild and wooley weekend all and all. I will post something more detailed when I'm not as tired and have had time to sort it all out in my head. Despite the horrible weather it felt good to be back in the woods.
