I hear a lot of negative rhetoric in regards to the decision of President Bush to take down Saddam Hussein.  Even now the reality is still the same.  Number one: Saddam Hussein and his two sons are dead.  These three rank right up there as the worse torturing mass murderers in history.  Number two:  Iraq is a free Democratic state.  It's not a pretty or perfect Democratic state and it has a long way to go but no-one can deny this is a good thing.

Iraq as of right now, regardless of what your opinion on whether we should or should not of, right now you cannot deny it is better than it was.  You also cannot deny that if Iraq actually succeeds and becomes a prosperous free country, that in itself will make President Bush a great President.  Is it safe to say that if these Muslims can live in peace with each other and the world in a free country that the people of other Muslim countries who don't have the same wouldn't want and even fight for that as well?

Liberals seem so focused on hating President Bush they have failed to see the big picture.  In this environment of Islamo Fascism an ally in the Middle East, that is a Democratic government, is predominantly Muslim, and is located in a strategically crucial area is a major asset to the United States and the world for generations.  Soon Iraq will no longer be a war, it will be a successful liberation and that is what will make President Bush as historically important as Ronald Reagan.

The thing is you can deny that it's better than it was.  They didn't have violence in the streets before.  Saddam just offed a few here and there when he got bored.  But no where near the numbers.

I don't deny we did the right thing, I don't deny we should have done it sooner.  I am saying that for the average Iraqi the world is more, not less dangerous now than it was before.
  • stopmediabias said on Jan 06, 2008....

I think in certain areas that is true, but a large part of Iraq has become peaceful and prosperous.  It could still go either way but I think if Iraq actually becomes what our President is hoping for, that in itself is a major advantage in fighting terrorism and is a slap in the face to the extremists in this country that want us to fail.

    stopmediabias,
you have to be kidding me. anybody who is still pro george w. bush must be immediately institutionalized or must be sucking his ______. firstly, where are the weapons of mass destruction in iraq? the answer is there are and never were any. secondly, why did president bush attack saddam hussein when osama bin laden was the one who claimed to have attacked the united states on 9/11. because this war was about oil not about catching who attacked the u.s. please check yourself into a medical health facility...

    Shut the fuck up anon.

This assertion by itself says Bush is an abject failure. Is there more to say?

Iraq is a free Democratic state.

Again you make these absurd assertions. Iraq is an occupied country with a civil war raging.

now you cannot deny it is better than it was.

And this one is a whopper.

Sorry try this piece of propaganda: No end in sight
  • stopmediabias said on Jan 08, 2008....

Why anon?  Could it be you are afraid of something?

    Thank you Sean,

Shelter-You must know you are wrong because you refuse to debate anything.  You just repeat back what I say and make some pithy comment on it.  Try something with substance.

Where have you been?  Iraq is not in a civil war and by the definition of a civil war it really never was.

Don't bother posting films I very rarely watch them, I am yet to find one that isn't a cut and paste piece of propaganda like the first one you showed me.

Just for arguments sake, if Iraq does come through as a successful Democratic state won't this be a major thing?  Iraq may grow into a larger mess it may work out, if it is the latter President Bush as stuck it to all the naysayers like you.

You do know how to put people to sleep... So for the sake of brevity I place this here from your other equally vacuous post.

    Their my words not yours.

For one fleeting moment... no that moment never happened... you would not even impress Joseph Goebbels except for your tenacity to falsify in the face of fact.

Along with your usual political right wing dirge, which can be ignored for it's implied opinion over fact, you too often lie blatantly, which makes you a sort of pathetic joke. You are too intellectually lazy to do any research yourself which makes your assertions on your supposed investigations a pathetic joke too.

One need not even take the time to check if what you have written contains any truth whatever for the simple reason that your dingbat diatribe it is entirely available to anyone that watches the TV on sunday morning; the mind numbing, lower brain stem, lowest common denominator fare available to the insipid from the pundit programing. It relieves one of the relative tedium of that might be encountered with an honest dialog. Thanks for letting me off the hook.

    Yawn.

    stop media bias,
even if iraq becomes a democratic state, america still loses: millions of dollars were(and are continuing to be) spent on this unnecessary war, and the united states is falling into a recession.
  • SeanRenaud said on Jan 08, 2008....
Wait are you seriously saying that if we improve the lives of Iraq that we should be crying about having a little less money?  Wow no wonder you have to remain anon.  I mean I would remain anonymous too if I was going to say that I'd rather know that Saddam has a rape room than to increase taxes a bit.
  • anonymous said on Jan 08, 2008....
a little less money?? there are people in america, one of the richest countries in the world, who are STARVING!!! what about rebuilding new orleans...saddam's rape room can't be as bad as the hell president bush has turned america into...
  • SeanRenaud said on Jan 08, 2008....
Whatever.  You are obviously too stupid to hold a conversation with.
  • stopmediabias said on Jan 08, 2008....

Shelter-You are a sad strange man, it was a simple question.  You cannot find one single thing I've said on my site that is a lie.  Your hiding behind the fact that you are reasonably good writer who knows nothing.  If you can't handle the debate then stay out of it.

    Sean I agree.

Anon-no can take you seriously if you hide, it makes you a worse koolaid drinker than that pinhead Shelter.

are all you bush lovers cut from the same mold? are you guys the three R's: religious, racist and retarded...

kanye west couldn't have said it better:

"george bush does not care about black people"

    but he should have added:

"george bush does not care about the american people"

  • SeanRenaud said on Jan 09, 2008....
Wow, now your brilliance is astounding.  Kanye West is the best political analyst ever.  I'm arguing with somebody without the inteligence to use puncutation and capitals.  SMB, why haven't you blocked the cowardly fools of the world yet?

I actually find them amusing, and sometimes you can figure out who it is.  I think I know who this is.

  • SeanRenaud said on Jan 10, 2008....
I suppose that's your bussiness then.  I grew weary of them long ago.
  • sheltercrow said on Jan 25, 2008....

...a sad strange man... hum... you really think so...  You cannot find one single thing I've said on my site that is a lie.

Well here we go again... Lies. Prove one of these... idiotic statements.

    1. These three rank right up there as the worse torturing mass murderers in history.

    2. Iraq is a free Democratic state.

    3. Iraq as of right now... is better than it was.

    4. In this environment of Islamo Fascism...

The rest is worthless dingbat speak... if the moon was made of cheeze...

  • stopmediabias said on Jan 27, 2008....

You are such a sissy.  Why is it so hard for you to pull the trigger.  You copy parts of my post and repeat them back to me with some witty insult attached to it.  That's not debating.  If you think the four things I mentioned are lies then tell me why you think they are lies.

Or maybe you can't and your just a good writer who doesn't know shit, a dog with all bark and no bite, all bells and whistles kind of guy.  Cut the crap!  State your opinion in a brief paragraph and I will retort and then maybe we can come to a consenus on something, otherwise go play on the freeway during rush-hour.

  • sheltercrow said on Jan 27, 2008....
You wrote the f*****g thing prove it.
  • stopmediabias said on Jan 28, 2008....

You can say "fucking" in here, I don't care....

What would you like me to prove?  I write my posts based on what I read in the news.

  • sheltercrow said on Jan 28, 2008....
Nothing. The notion that you get your information from the newspaper lets you off the hook. It would too much of a burden to expect you to prove anything meaningful when you use the papers as a news source. Later.
  • stopmediabias said on Jan 29, 2008....
I said the news, not the newspaper.  This debate has...........................oh....sorry I dozed off.  Yawn.  Getting....tired....must....resist.....captain boring....ZZZZZZZ
