The game was going so well in the first half. My Jags were tearing it up against the Steelers. Nothing was getting past the Jags' defense, interceptions abound. It looked like it  was gonna be a complete and total rout.

Then the Jags melted down. Penalties, interceptions, inept drives on offense. But the penalties, my gawd, the PENALTIES!! Fortunately, their defense was still on par and was able to keep the Steelers from getting too far ahead. That game was a thriller, I tell ya what. All that white-knuckled edge-of-your-seat excitement you expect from a playoff game. If the rest of the postseason will be anything like these two Saturday games, I'm in!

As for the Redskins-Seahawks game... well, I was only really watching that while waiting for the Jags-Steelers matchup. That game was pretty goofy, too. I called my Aunt Maria, an avid Redskins fan whom I haven't seen in years, and talked about the game. She's always been the cool aunt, always been my favorite aunt for many reasons. The game was a great opportunity to get in touch with her again, since she lives in Florida.

It was funny. The broadcast in her area was a few seconds behind our broadcast, so I was reacting to plays before she knew it.
Me: Collins just got sacked again.
Aunt Maria: No he didn't, they just snapped the ball... oh, aw, what the f--
Me: Told ya.
Anyway, it was great getting in touch with Aunt Maria again. She's in that rare category of "relatives I actually like."

Long story short, it was a lazy Saturday yesterday, but fun nonetheless.

damn but the jags played a solid game. i haven't had a chance to watch the jags until last night. now i understand why people say they're the team that can beat the pats.

the giants just beat tampa bay so i'm pretty happy. :>

the jags are a damned good team, no question.

harried: if the eagles don't want mcnabb, i can see him going to the jets. their bad offensive line + mcnabb's mobility would be a very interesting thing to see, if you ask me. that said, i hope the eagles keep mcnabb--i've been saying all season that the mean's got some football left in him and i think the past few weeks have shown that.

Ed: Congrats to the Giants! I was out and about today so I only caught the first quarter. Lots of cleaning and gallavanting around the town. As for Donny, a lot of people speculate that he could end up in the Bills. Buffalo wants to dump JP Losman badly. If it came down to one or the other, I'll take McNabb in a heartbeat. I'm worried about them keeping McNabb but I'm also worried about who we'd get in return if we were to trade him.

lu: Yeah! Go Jags! The Pats have no idea what they're up against.
