according to samurai gunslinger, multiverse network has optioned the rights to develop a firefly-based MMORPG.
now, as a browncoat myself, i'm generally happy to see things expand the commercial viability of firefly, but i don't see any way in the 'verse that the show's ethos of "independents against a vastly numerically/technologically superior enemy" can possibly even exist in a MMORPG.
i dunno, maybe it's b/c i haven't played a MMORPG before, but i just don't see how this would possibly work. at all.

The premise doesn't seem impossible to work as a MMORPG to me, but then I never saw the show. I think they'd definitely have to tweak it, given what you said there, because playing constantly at a disadvantage wouldn't appeal for all that long. So I guess I see your point, too.
In short, I have no idea if it'd work or flop or what. Undercaffeinatedness 4tl. :-D
