So, we're sitting here freezing our communal arse off (the stupid window is fried) and avoiding writing the ever-so boring semi-essay/post/thing-a-ma-freak about the weird types of consciousness experienced by systems (reminder: system is the word used to describe the group of people that are inside of a person with DID). It's really not one that I look forward too. Nor are the ones on controversy and the BS that is 'integration' (bleck). Laa, at least we won't have to do them all at once~! *laughs*

For most people, there's conscious, un-conscious, and sub-conscious. Unless you're also multiple, you know all about that already. You also know what it's like to experience in both a physical and metal sense.

That's what makes this one both easy and hard to explain: you've already got the basics. Easy, because there's no need to explain that. Hard, because-- hey, were used to it! *grins* So, I guess what we're saying is that for a moment, try to ignore whatever you're used to and just run with things. Consider it practice for your imagination. =^__~=

1.) Consciousness: Normal, plain-vanilla awareness. If you're in a room, you're in it. If you're near a window, you're near a window. If you're driving a car, you're driving. You are you, by yourself, doing the experiencing-- like how you all most likely do.

2.) Co-Present/Co-aware: The easy-verstion of this one would be to imagine yourself and some random person both in a room. Then near a window (yes, both of you). After that, that you're driving a car. You're not by yourself, but you're experiencing and thinking and doing all the rest just like normal.

3.) Co-conscious: This is often more complicated, but we'll cover that later. Basically, two or more people are 'out' (see 'Giant Robot Theory' for more information on this) at the same time, sharing certain parts of their memories, thoughts, feelings, etc. Let's go back and snag that random dude from #2. Okay, he's with us again. Sitting around. Randomly. In the room. This time, though, you've got some limited-type of mind-reading super-powers. So does he. At the same time, you're able to separate what comes from him and what comes from you.

Okay, so, there we have it! Exciting, isn't it? Only not really. =^____^=; We'll be writing more about this (actually, we already have), but it's time for bed and sleep we must. *yawns* Just wanted to get 'round to posting something tonight seeing as no one's bothered to do it for two days. =^___^=;;;; Whoops~!
