Bill and I have stepped up our attendance at the gym lately. As our wedding day looms nearer we both don't want to be caught looking old and paunchy on film. We had a rude awakening at the Christmas party when our picture made us look *gasp* pudgy.
I'm a little tickled that Bill has finally overcome his aversion to doing some cardio exersize in the "fat farm" with me. Up to now he's been dedicating his time in the weights room and a very occaisional aerobics class. I'm not sure whether desperation to lose the weight or his thought that a reclining bicycle is easier to do in his out-of-shape condition brought him there, but now I have company there. It's even sweeter since I can out bike him with no effort.
The first evening we did our "biking" together he came away with a couple of interesting questions. He seemed totally unaware that it was common practice for some women to do their workout in ridiculously inadequate clothes. He got an eye full of crotch or something and he seemed to be surprised that a riot didn't break out. That night was no different than other, perhaps even less obscene with the amount of skin I saw showing.
I'm pretty conservative in the gym. I usually wear long shorts or capris that actually fit so that there is no ass crack or camel lips to stare at. I also cover the "girls" mostly because my support bras have to be so robust to actually provide support that they're dangerously close to hideous. It never occurred to him that what I wore was conservative and this whole fat farm experience was eye opening to him.
I did tell him to keep his eyeballs and tongue in his head. No reason to go nuts over something you've promised to leave alone. ;) If I'm jealous of the skinny girls, I suppose I've earned it. Though in reality I doubt I'd ever put my "assets" on display even if I were that in shape. Some things are best left to the imagination.
So ..... quick poll:
1) Does it offend you when people wear clothes that reveal their crotch and/or boobs?
2) Are you jealous of those who you consider to be more fit than yourself?
