I’m not a big New Years resolution maker.  After about the first 5 years of doing that shit I realized that I’m just setting myself up for failure.  One solution would be to try harder, the one I went with was to make fewer resolutions and to set the bar low.  However, I do see the virtue of setting goals for the New Year, so here are my goals for 2008.

1. Eat Less

2. Sleep More

3. Get More Exersize

4. Explore Something New

5. Forgive Myself More

Now, that may seem like a tall order to some folk, but let me show you how I read my list.

1. Eat Less ….. than an elephant.

2. Sleep More …. than an insomniac.

3. Get More Exersize ….. than clicking this mouse.

4. Explore Something New ….. like the new shop at the Mall.

5. Forgive Myself More ….. for making these resolutions.

See?  Easy!  Seriously, why add the pressure of self expectation to the expectations of those around me?

Happy New Year.

gracefully - I'm a big fan of setting the bar low.  Less stress that way.

Kru - Hi!  Nice to see you!!  Yes, my enthusiastic lack of ambition is alive and well.

Gracefully - After all, stress is the No.1 killer.
