  skald, thank you. I looked at some of your most recent photos on Flickr. It looks like you had a good Christmas and New Year's.

  silverW, okay, you talked me into it. Basically I saw this great ice formation and wanted a quick shot (I was in a hurry). I knew it would stand out better against the blue sky so I kneeled down. Then I saw the rock in the background appear and moved a little to the left to use the background rock as a repetition of the main subject.

  crybabylu, yeah, I was pretty impressed myself.

  Thanks LionS. Well, none of these would be in calendars. They're just my digicam snaps. I'm picking up my film tomorrow and if any are good enough they will be submitted for calendars for 2009. Whether or not they make the final selection is up to the editors.
