I grabbed a jar of Mixed Nuts at lunch today.  They're part of my new diet.  Certainly better for me than chips if eaten in moderation.

As I sat looking at the jar the little circle in the purple part caught my attention.  If you can't read it it says "Have nuts? Have a party!"  What?!  That's all you need for a party?  Well, if that's the case, I'd have to say that my family is one very long term party seeing as how many nuts there are.

This of course lead me to consider the different variety of nuts in the jar.  There are peanuts, cashews, almonds, brazil nuts, filberts and pecans.  Add to this the left out nuts of macadamia and walnuts.  If I were a nut, which type would I be?   Hmmmm.  I think a filbert.  It's got a tough shell, but is flavorful inside.

So, if YOU were a nut, what kind of nut would you be?

Let's find the nuts at SC and have a party!!!

(see, I do still my sense of humor)

lol unique!! hmmm  good question...  I guess I would be a gammon and mustard flavour ordinary nut (I bought some over christmas )

cus they are ordinary, with a not so ordinary flavour!!!!!

ok that is a totally crap answer!!!  I am a nut!!  just the plain old crazy kind!!  lol :-) xx

SW - the double meaning wasn't totally an accident :)  So, we're the same type of nut?  That seems likely.

destiny - was is this gammon you speak of?  (I honestly haven't heard that word before)  I'd also say you're no ordinary nut!  I'm thinking ..... a cashew.  Elegantly flavored.

o right, hazelnuts and filberts are the same, aren't they? !

and somehow, i figured that was deliberate... :D

SW - I know, I always have to "do the math" on equating the names of certain nuts.  I think it was subcousiously deliberate though.

hmmm....i think an ordinary peanut.  they're small, versatile, and go well with many things.

SL - That would be you!!

My mind went someplace else entirely too when I read that slogan! But I guess if I had to be a nut, I'd be a macadamia nut. Mostly because I just ate some chocolate covered ones, and they were damn good. So maybe that means I think I'm damn good? Or else I just taste good with chocolate?

ET - Well, you're a damn good writer, so I can see you as a macadamia.  As for how you taste, well, I'll leave that one alone. ;)

she done did it again. she called herself a gammon. i said it before and i'm saying it again. what language do they speak over there? i know it's not english. anyway if she is a gammon, then a gammon must be a really tasty nut.

Mr7 - this mystery word has piqued my curiousity.  You forgot to leave us with your nut of choice for yourself, so I'm going with brazil nut.  Complicated to get out of the shell, but worth the effort.

(and if it's me, it's going to be "pee-can" so thbppt to all the "puh-cahn"ers :-p)

I am a walnut. I've got a hard shell, but if you take the time to crack through it, it's worth the trouble.

i think i'm more like that jar, a whole pile of mixed nuts! :-)

TIO - I love pecan pie.  Yes, I can see you as a pecan.

JBox - Okay, that works.  Are you a whole walnut, carefully removed or a broken walnut, just as delicious, but not perfect?

rupert - they're also popular with humans.  Yes, you are an almond.

Zayda - *drools* so I take it you're dipped in chocolate?

MM&I - LOL, yes, you ARE a little nutty, but that's what I like about you!

trav - well, aren't YOU ambitious!  So one day you're an almond but the next a cashew, etc?

I'm a cashew, just because I like them so much.
