October 18, Benazir returns home.
November 25, Nawaz Sharif returns too.
Amid mounting pressure, Musharraf sheds uniform, announces polls.
Theres HOPE FOR DEMOCRACY....
On Thursday, December 27, a sniper snuffs out that hope !!
Bhutto is said to have died of bullet wounds to her neck and head. Thirty people died in the attack, victims of a suicide bomber who blew up himself near Bhutto's car.
Pakistan's daughter of democracy falls to the attack, throwing the country into political uncertainity and a vortex of jehadi violence. Benazir-Democracy-Bhutto ( I would prefer calling her this, as i feel, democracy was her middle name ) had been one strong woman who knew what to do to restore peace in her country, And by 'her country' i mean it, Because, that is how she treated Pakistan...as if.. it was in her starts to set things straight...
Calling it just 'death' would be an understatement, For I believe, she has been assassinated, or even better - martyred, for her country, for the people of her country...
With her white veil, bejeweled blouses, flawless English and flair for
drama and theatrical timing, Benazir Bhutto has painted herself as lady
liberty, a lone woman willing to risk all and stand up to Pakistani
President Pervez Musharraf and his emergency rule.
A lady as charismatic as herself take birth once in a 100 years..
Pakistan without Benazir is like India without Indira. The comparison isnt out of place. In an interview some years ago, to a house journal of the London School of Economics, she named three role models- father Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Indira Gandhi and Joan of Arc.
It remains to be seen whether Pakistan's best known dynasty would, like the Gandhi family, have a scion goaded into public life. For the present, however, the January elections have become purposeless.
Pointless to say, we all know who is responsible for all this. Whose 'hand' is involved in her death..
How long will the US shower its 'condolences' on the sufferings of the people of Middle East ?
How long will it take for the people (Pakistani) to realise the United
States of America is acting as a catalyst in the turmoil in the country
?
How long will the people act 'sheep' and suffer in silence , the mis-deeds of the 'Authoritarian Government' ?
Its time, people stand up and fight.
No, We dont need rebels !
But yes, we most certainly need revolutionary leaders..
We need a 'free and an independent' Pakistan.
We need DEMOCRACY !!
