Damn, browsing through the pages around here is kinda like watchin commercials on the ABC, NBC and CBS evening news anymore - nothing but medications and complications due to aging. What is the average age around here, 65? Why does this site attract so many senior citizens anyway??

    47.  Which means I'm old enough to know better, and still young enough to do it anyway - without ANYONE looking over my shoulder.  It's AWESOME.

Youth may be wasted on the young but it manifests in middle age and then *finally* becomes useful.  Yeesssssss!

hey its good to get an idea of peoples ages! its surprising too...because some I thought of as younger and some I thought were older...I'm 30  :-) xx
  • Twylarants said on Dec 27, 2007....
Old enough to know that you're gonna be old someday too, unless you die.
  • wakingharmony said on Dec 27, 2007....
Old enough to sleep alone and not like it.....always wanted to say that. I am 54 to be 55 and proud of it. and I think most the souls around here are in 30's or either side ... I thought i was just one of a few  50 + ..
  • Twylarants said on Dec 27, 2007....
I dunno Waking, I think there are a lot of us. We just happen to sound younger because we're not old farts...yet.
Isn't it funny..the older you get, the older "old" seems to be?
By the way something, I'm 58, not officially a Senior Citizen yet.
Oh poo! I just noticed an ad on the side of this page:
"Elderly Travel, tailored for age 50+ adults"
Elderly? ELDERLY???  Somebody needs a punch in the face!

I'm old enough to know that making fun of people's health problems would make me look like a ass.  So that makes me, what, 10?  Older than somethingunUSual, at any rate.

  • Twylarants said on Dec 28, 2007....
I like Phoeby's comment "Somehow I ended up to be 38".
That's exactly how it happens. We didn't choose to get older just to piss off younger people.  That's what happens if you're lucky enough to stay alive.
File this away, something. You may need to use these comments some day.

I'm 56, and proud of every year I've gained.  (although, sometimes I wish I had a younger body so I could get around without the aches and pains of aging), but I wouldn't trade the wisdom I've gained for anything.
  • preacherman said on Dec 28, 2007....
    70.  will be 71 on march 15  (letting you all know my birthdate so you can begin thinking about what you want to buy me as a present)  I love birthday presents.  HA!
  • kruuyai said on Dec 28, 2007....
48 and counting... why does this site attract so many of us "senior citizens?"  It's because you young whippersnappers are attracted to flash whereas those of us who have matured gracefully prefer substance over form.  :p
  • Twylarants said on Dec 28, 2007....
And another direct hit for our side!
This is like a snowball fight!
  • crybabylu said on Dec 28, 2007....

Kru- sometimes I feel the inclination still to "flash", but find I don't have much to flash.....ha....ha!  good thing I found that "substance" you are talking about, huh?

    heheheeeeeeeee

  • kruuyai said on Dec 28, 2007....
crybaby:  (I can't help thinking of the Johnny Depp movie everytime I type your name)...  trust me... substance is much more fulfilling than flash.  :)

    Twyla:  Let's get 'em, girl!

destiny, I had you pegged for 23. But a year and an orbit-count isn't really the indicator, is it? There are old men and young whippersnappers both my age.
And hey EILAN - who's making fun of health problems, kiddo? I just find it depressing to hear about the decay of the organic experience, that's all. Wow, thanks for responding everybody. But who's holding back? I wanna know how old some more of you guys are - now we're getting somewhere!
