My Christmas was quiet, rather uneventful, and that's exactly the way I hoped. No screaming children, none of the gaudy pageantry of Christmas decorations (usually we decorate but we just didn't feel like it this year). I spent the day eating, playing Madden and nursing my third ear infection in six weeks. All my Christmas celebrating came the week before.
Last week was so much fun, despite the ear infections. I promised you guys pictures of me as Santa, but that might have to wait some more. But soon after I played Santa, the program coordinator for the senior program approached me with a question. Her theater group was doing an adaptation of A Christmas Carol, and the guy playing Scrooge fell ill and asked me if I waned to fill in. With only a few days to rehearse and prepare, I told her I would. So I played the best of both worlds; over the course of four days I was both Santa and Scrooge. The play was a hit. Talent scouts from all over the country came to the community center and marveled at my performance... no, but it was fun.
As for the ear infection, it's getting better, but I'm going to a specialist next week.
