Dear Holiday Shopper,

In case you were wondering, the Saturday before Christmas is the biggest retail shopping day of the year.  Most stores do 25 times more sales volume on this day, than any other regular day.  I'm telling you this, so that when you go to the mall you won't be surprised by the following things......

1.  LONG LINES...at the stores, at the food court and to see Santa....even to use the restroom.  If you leave and come back, the lines WILL NOT be any shorter...in fact, they will be longer and the store will most likely be out of what you came for.  So, just grin and bare it....

2.  No parking....yes, you will circle the parking lot....several times...and have to resort to stalking other shoppers as they leave in order to get a space.  If this upsets you and puts you in a bad mood....well, you should have just done your shopping in July then....get over it.

3.  Believe it or not, 2 days before Christmas, we WILL run out of things.  Especially, holiday items.  Nature of the beast.  We are honestly out of things.  Do not be surprised.  Sales associates are not hiding things in the back just to mess with you.  Honestly we are out.  We didn't do the ordering....we just sell it.  We are sorry....again, if this upsets you, you should have shopped in July.

Oh, and aother request....please don't take your frustrations out on the store employees.  You may not like being stuck in the crowds, but neither do we.  As stated above, we did not run out of things on purpose and we are doing everything we can to wait on you as fast as possible.  And yes, really and truely we are out of product, no matter how many times I check that back room, its not going to appear.

Thank you and Merry Christmas....

Store Employee

Poor Minnie :-( I don't envy you for working retail during the holidays. I try to be very nice when I'm shopping though! I mostly get irritated at the other rude shoppers, and not the workers. I hope your Christmas is much more relaxing!

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

I worked part time thru Christmas one year at a Walmart, and believe me, I didn't have near as many problems with customers as I did my superiors during that time.  Sometimes they were a real "pill"!

Crybabylu...yeah, I guess it depends on which side you are on...I am a manager and after a couple of weeks of 12 hour days and 60+ employees pulling you every which way, wanting breaks, wanting off early, complaining etc...and add the customers on top of that...it takes  ALOT to remain positive.  I like to think that I do a good job with my employees, but I have definitely seen some other managers in my time that could use some lessons...  :-)  Minnie
