It's funny how writing about what you write about isn't enough anymore.
I've had several people bugging me to begin a blog. So I guess I'll write
about what I write about, but then write about the process of doing so
as well.
I live in Chicago. It's hotter than hell here right now. It's currently
93-degrees but 101-degrees with the heat index and the humidity is
at 45%. It's been this bad and worse the last week or so and it's really
starting to get to me both physically and mentally. Last week I did
an interview with one of my favorite musicians, Michael Sweet, lead
vocalist of the band Stryper - and yesterday I was sitting at my desk
writing the article but I just couldn't concentrate being so uncomfortable.
I live in a big 2-bedroom apartment with only one window-unit air conditioner.
It's just not enough in this heat, even with all the fans I've got on full-blast
trying to blow the cooler air around.
I'm on vacation this week from my 'day job.' It's a blessing and a curse.
It's nice not having to wait for the bus in this weather, however, I'd be
more comfortable sitting in that ice-box of an office than I am right now.
I'm having wet t-shirt contests with myself...LOL...it's the only way to
really keep somewhat cool.
Tonight, however, it's supposed to rain & the temp should drop. Tomorrow
the expected high is in the 80's not 90's for a refreshing change. Personally,
I wish we had San Francisco weather year round, but I'll take 80.
I've got so much writing that I wanted to do this week! (sigh)
My poor cats are laying around & as flat as can be...they don't like this
either. One of my little guys insists on sleeping pressed against me - I
don't know how she can stand it, I know I can't right now.
