  Now your question. Jól means Yule. We use that word and not Christmas. Gleðileg means merry. The basis of the word is glað just as gald in English then gleði is Joy.

  Pookie.  I am not Russian. My Christmas stated on the 24 at 6pm and most of the holidays are over but we have 13 Christmas Days so the last day will be on the 6th.
