With a lack of anything to say right at the moment, I thought I'd post up some recent pics of our two favorite cats. The other two are camera shy, but Misty and Miss Fluff love posing for us.

Miss Fluff has the "Adore me, Damn You!" look in the second picture. It's that or "Don't Push it Buddy!". Misty should consider doing a kitty centerfold. She's a real looker and obviously loves the camera. -

Aww, Misty reminds me of a cat DH and his parents had years ago. He loved to have his tummy scratched, too (the cat, not DH :-D).

See, my cat lays like that and waits for me to pet her belly. When I do, she latches on to my hand with her paws and she'll kick with her back claws and she'll bite my hand and shake. She lays there saying, "Pet me, please... You know you want to..." And when I do, she says, "Gotcha! Grrrrr!"
My arms are always shredded because that's just how we play.

infernal--Your hubby might like to have his tummy scratched too. You never know!
zayda--I do think Miss Fluff was annoyed by that one picture. She was like, "what are you looking at, dude?" Misty does want to be adored and worshipped. She'll plop down in front of you and roll on her back and just wait for you to pet her. And she loves the camera!
cutie--We do need more pics of the other cats. But they're always sleeping under the bed! We'll get some more....
grape--One of our other cats does that to us all the time. She acts like she wants you to pet her stomach, but when you do, she attacks you. It is a fun game, even if it destroys our arms with their claws!

I think it tickles her. Perhaps that's why she bites, cuz she'll let me pet her for about five to six seconds. Then, it's as if she says, "enough!", then she attacks. I'm convinced that my cat thinks she's a wild animal. She stalks me and pounces on my stomach and stuff. 11 year old cat that still chases stuff. Both my 11 year old and 14 year old cats are expert mousers, too. I don't know if you recall me discussing the little presents the buddies leave on the carpet for me to find some mornings. I found half a mouse one time. I asked the kitties, "where's the other half?" They just licked their chops. -

grape--Our cats are good hunters too. We haven't had any mice yet, but we've had birds and lizards and all kinds of scary bugs. And these cats are indoor cats! And yes, they caught a bird that was nesting in our garage.
trav--Me too! Maybe you should try laying in your dresser drawer? Miss Fluff says that's comfortable....

lala--Misty is a lynx point siamese. I love those kinds of cats. I used to have a blue point siamese when I was a kid, and she was the best cat ever. They do deserve to be worshiped! -

e_t: I have never heard of a lynx point! ha! My siamese is a seal point and when he was a kitten he was a cream colored cotton ball but now as a 7 year old he's dark brown nearly everywhere! Must be all that sun-bathing he does... ;) I've seen blue points before...my aunt has one and he's so silly. He carries a shoelace around the house! My aunt also has a seal point. We actually bought all 3 cats the same day from the same breeder. They are all related...meaning they all have the same kitty daddy! But the 2 seal points (of course) are from a different mommy than the blue point. Gotta love the Siamese! MeOw!

lala--Yeah, a lynx point is colored much the same as a blue point, except they have subtle stripes on them. They kind of look like white tigers, especially when they're kittens. Misty has great coloring because sometimes the stripes get really dark, but she's still really white. I was told by a cat person that this is a good thing! I don't know. But she sure is pretty :-) -
