I've got my tree up, but the rest of the house needs decorating, I've done all my xmas cards, and even wrapped a few presents, amazing for me, usually I'm doing it all in the last few days, and cursing myself for not starting sooner, so i'm quite pleased with myself.

I don't really enjoy all the hustle and bustle of this time of year, I don't really "do" shopping unless I have to, unfortunately I have to :-) I've still got a few gifts to buy, I've done a little on the net this year, but I do prefer to really see what I'm buying.

It's the crowds of people I find difficult, everyone is pushing and shoving, even the supermarkets are hell, people loading their trolleys as if it's going to be another year before the shops open again! Why? The shops are only really shut Christmas day now.

I'm quite a clumsy person really, always have been, and the crowds don't help - I was in my local garden centre a couple of days ago, just looking for some new tree decorations, I turned to look at something and wiped everything off this display table with the basket, I was mortified, and a few boubles were broken, but the staff were great, I thought it was going to cost me a fortune, but they didn't charge me, at least there is some Christmas spirit :-))

Anyway, hope you are all enjoying your preparations, tell me your stories.

Battycat. I have to buy presents for four grandkids and four other kids, my two sons and a daughter in law, husband too. I also have to do that for my mum. I have to get ideas what to buy.
I have to buy the food for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day. Between Christmas and New Year I will buy the food for the two days we celebrate , New Years Eve and New Yew. There might be something else but I don't remember it at the time. My husband will decorate. I have not had much time yet. It is always my music school And tomorrow we have a concert. After that I will be on full blast. I always succeed in being ready and I am sure you will too.

I don't have a tree up yet.  I've done shopping for my husband and my two oldest girls, but I still have things to buy for the smallest girls and the rest of my family.  My dad is the worst to buy for, too.  I mean, what do you get for a person who hates everything and everybody?

I hate dealing with crowds, particularly the people who block the aisles and are oblivious to their surroundings.  That's why I've done a fair share of my shopping online this year.

sounds like something i would do...knocking things off shelves. **smile** i'm always going 90 miles an hour so yep...i'm clumsy too.

well i put my tree up the 1st.....silver asked if that's alittle early....nope! ..it is what gets me in the mood for Christmas.

For me...the holiday season...season is longer than a day. so, i prepare without the stress of doing everything at the bitter end! First i get into the mood as i said by putting up the tree ...than outdoors lights... i start making my goodies...then comes the wonderful visits to all my friends ...and some family.(wink) ;~)

All i have to do to complete my holiday season is to make my buckeyes and rock candy. That's this weekend's doings. I have 3 parties to go to and enjoy some fine food and good spirits next week. I'm real excited to say i'm ahead of the game......yeehaw! **smile**  Happy Holidays!!
