It was the day of the festival. Everyone is excited to join the celebration til dawn. Like a certain couple who had two wonderful daughters (3 yrs old and 7 yrs old) who was playing with their dolls. “Sweetie, me and your Dad will go to the festival” mother said to her daughters. “Your dinner is already in the table and don’t wait for us “ as she waved to her daughters. ”Don’t worry mom and dad… I take care everything” said by the elder daughter. The couple had a great time in the festival. They feel young again and free. It was around 3 in the morning that they went home (drunk) and slept beside their sleeping daughters.
The next day as they wake up, they noticed that the elder sister was still in bed while the youngest was up and playing outside. The mother tried to wake her but as she touch her daughter is was numb and dead cold. To the parent’s shock, their daughter was dead.
According to the autopsy, the child was already death in the afternoon on the day of the festival. And the cause was unbearable to accept in the parent’s heart. The child was raped and due to forced of entering “in” her (even though her’s was still small to fit in) the child can bear too much pain that cause her to die instantly. The other daughter was safe and untouch.
The police investigate the neighbourhood for any suspecting character on the day of the said crime. The suspect was a carpenter who was doing a task at a house beside the victim’s. So the police search this suspect and put him behind bars.
At the funeral, relatives came and look at the angelic face of the child for the last time. The emotions were despair and most of all anger. They accused the parents for being irresponsible for letting their children home alone. Why they didn’t call for a trusted relative to be with the children while they’re away? Why they entrusted to a 7 yr old daughter to take care everything while they gone? Take care everything with her life and dignity on the line.
The couple just answered with a sob.
This story was real happened.
Careless… is the word I could describe the said couple. I felt pity for them for losing a sweet daughter but I can’t hide my frustration to them. If I was there maybe I said harsh words at their faces with no regret at all.
To the newly married and wanting to have a child…don’t ever be like the irresponsible parents in this story…focus on the safety rather to a party…
