So I survived the annual company golf tournament on Friday.  Barely.  No I do not golf, but have to go and support it.  I got up at 430am to shower and get to the office to pick up another co worker.  We had to drive 45 minutes to get there, then bust our asses getting all set up.  The rush of golfers coming in to register was really a blur to me.  Then it was rush to get all the corporate gifts labeled and laid out.  Then it was sit around for 3 or 4 hours waiting for the golfers to get done.  Then it was mad rush for the gift exchange drawing in a room that was designed for about 100 people and held over 150.  It was hot in there, it was loud in there, the boss was using an electric megaphone to talk.  We had to be up there with him to deliver the gifts.  I was tired as I had only taken a 10 minute power nap.  I took my meds at lunch.  I walked out for a few minutes to get away from the maddening noise.  They finished with the gifts and everyone fled to their vehicles to go to dinner.  Naturally we were the last to leave because we had to pack it all up.  Drive 30 minutes to dinner, no parking place, park on the road.  No place in the main area to sit with everyone else, so we are stuck on the screened in patio.  Damp, sticky place.  About this time I am realizing I am extremely tired and starting to want to cry.  Waitress took forever to come take our drink order, then days to come and take our food order.  Then it took hours to bring our food.  Okay, not actually hours, just 45 minutes.  By the time we got our food everyone in the main room was done and leaving.  I will never go there to eat after the tournament again.  I told T on the way to the truck that I was on a downward spiral, that I was not going to be able to help him much with getting home.  If we took a wrong turn, i was sorry but that I couldn't even think right then.  He was understanding.  I came home and took a nap for 1 1/2 hours.  then I was up late because I couldn't sleep.
I am so glad I survived another golf tournament.
Now i have to get ready for the company christmas party that I have to head up this Friday.  I also have to get everything ready for Christmas, pack to go to Texas for a business trip, pack to go to my daughters for the holiday because I am leaving on Saturday and will not be back here until almost new years.  Somehow I feel I am not going to get it all done and will ahve to be making phone calls back to this daughter to have her do this and that and everything else.  She will  not be happy because this is finals week at college.
I survived the golf tournament but will I survive the holidays???
