oh, I think there is definitely something to what you are saying.
And about the blog themes. Once in awhile I can see it being coincidence, and I will post something, and then you know how here at SC, they put related articles under where you post comments, in a few hours, some will start popping up that are close to my theme, and I'm thinking, hmmmm.......I didn't see that post before I posted mine up, if I had've, I wouldn't have posted mine.
It is also true about the sad posts. I think it tripped both you and I a couple of weeks ago. Remember? We were both kinda up, and then all of the sudden, there was a flood of sad posts, and you and I on the very same day, began feeling a little slump, then I remembered that both of us had been posting on some of the same sad ones. I think I need to be careful....if I am not feeling at my best, to steer away from some of those, until I get my own spirits up. What do you think?
I don't think it's necessarily anything profound (or copy-cat-ish or whatever else), but people definitely ping off of one another, here and IRL. I've noticed that the SCers I know best, and some of the ones who are the most inside my head, if you know what I mean, tend to post things that get me thinking beyond what I feel fits into a simple comment.
Also, it may be that people whose thoughts tend to wander down similar paths anyway are more likely to share a certain mood (especially in light of a particular event or situation that is brought to their individual attentions separately), and to blog about said mood (or the event that triggered it) at nearly the same time.
Another thought re: mood - I think perhaps if you happen to view several spokes of the same wheel of an inner SC community, it's easier to feel like SC is sharing a mood overall. If I know one of my friends here is having a horrible day or struggling with something major, my "SC mood" will probably reflect that, with tones of concern or sadness or just plain meh entries. The flip side is that if something awesome happens to a friend, my day is likely to look up sharply, and my posts will reflect that. After all, we share the sorrows and the joys of our friends' lives.
There's also the coincidence factor - at times, things are just similar by chance (or just by nature of the timeframe, like with Christmas posts this month). I don't know that anything more can really be drawn from it than that, at least on occasion.

travelr712--Oh, we have debates,,,you just haven't found the right blogs for that.In fact, I love to debate. Here are the debators that I know; Cussane, SeanRenald, bloc, lfbno7, Silverwhisper, Alienated, StupidGenius, TinSoldier,Sheltercrow, Stobmediabias, Cussane, SeanRenald,
There are probably more, but I can't think of anymore right now. Okay, now when you go to a blog, click on different names that post there. Also, look at who is reading that blogger, and who that blogger reads. You would be surprised all of the different blogs you will find in the SoulCast family. There is really a wide range of subjects, and then there are the things we debate about, such as.
My favorite, is politics, but we have those who are evolutionists, creationalists, all kinds of things such as; science articles, etc.
