my niece, she asks questions.

how come caterpillars have so many legs?
how come butterflies fly?
how come?
how come?
how come?

just....sooooo many questions and they NEVER stop.

every time she asks one of these questions my sister usually answers her with.... "because god made it that way"

and tha'ts an answer she hears over and over again.

so.....when she was visiting this past weekend......the questions were starting to get on my nerves after the 5th hour of her being here...........i was trying to give her real answers from what i know of things.......but now i'm understanding why my sister does the easier answer of "because god made it that way"

and finally after HOURS of questions, my dad asks her......"why do you ask so many questions?"

and she says.

"because god made me that way."

she's four.

Lol I love kids.  I worked as a camp counselor every summer of my life so I've heard this one before.  As is true with most things, ignore them and they go away.  Or do what I do, and thats give a stupid answer.  Why do caterpillars have so many legs?  Because they love shoes.  Why do butterflies fly?  Because otherwise they'd be called butterwalks.

*LAUGHING* that's funny.......but i think she's being more serious.......i was the same way and people gave me silly answers and pretty soon i started to think what i had to say wasn't importan.t

    this child NEVER STOPS TALKING.

    ever.

    i mean EVER.

sometimes she even talks in her sleep.

she sucks her thumb.....and sometimes when my sister gets REALLY tired of it.....

she says "suck your thumb giusi" .......in other words, "i can't take any more talking right now."

    that's her name, Giusianna.

that's an unusually beautiful name. i can't even imagine how to pronounce it.

ahh! well, it's a really pretty name.
  • Fallyn said on Dec 05, 2007....
i'll tell her you said that......cause most of us were a little bit skeptical.
it's really unusual here....but i guess very very common in italy.
  • lampshade said on Dec 05, 2007....
As an italian, I love that name too.  I insist that all my kids have traditional italian names.  Boys would be Enzo or Nunzio or something cool like that.  Girls, I haven't thought of any but I do like Giusianna.

Art is different for kids than it is for adults. It is very important for children to be able to create arts and crafts on their own without copying from an adults model...
Go figure, it just couldn't come too close to a perfect weekend. :-\...
