J and I went wedding ring shopping two weekends ago with no luck. None of the rings we looked at and could afford grabbed my attentions and said "I have to have this one!" We also did some online research and ended up finding what we wanted. We aren't going to have matching rings but we both have ones that we love.
We tried to place our order on the internet but it wouldn't let us ship the order to my work address. So I called the following week and placed my order but they told me that they have to verify my shipping address with my bank. Why? I don't freakin' know. Well, my bank couldn't add my work address, only change my main address altogether which I didn't want to do.
We argued over this for several days. In the meantime I had already been charged for the rings but they wouldn't ship them to me. Get this. They can ship them to my home where ANYONE in the house can sign for them but the won't ship them to my work so I can sign for them - with photo ID!! Hello?! I gave up. I changed my address with the bank so the jeweler could verify my address. They verified it on Monday and shipped out our rings. Finally! Now I have to change my address at the bank again. Ugh.
The really amazing part of this story? I got our rings today!!!! I came back from break and they were on my desk. They are amazing! Just having them makes it more real, more imminent somehow. I'm so excited!
